Our aim
In this beautiful rural Suffolk setting, the aim of our business is to provide you with an amazing yurt holiday experience. A place to come and make wonderful holiday memories, surrounded by some of England’s prettiest countryside. We try to make what we can here environmentally friendly and sustainable so its good for us, the environment and the future.
Dreams do come true
From the moment we met, Paul and I have had a thirst for adventure, travel, water sports and snowboarding. We bought our VW Campervan Colin, a 1972 Westy, in 2007, restored him and in 2010 set off for seven months on an adventure around Europe. We had a wonderful time on our journey to Istanbul and back and stayed in literally hundreds of campsites. We talked every night about our dream to own our own!
Our next years were busy restoring houses, working and becoming a family, and are lucky to have two beautiful children Rose and Alfie.
Having grown up in Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex, we often visited beautiful Suffolk in our campervan Colin, always on the lookout for our future campsite.
In 2018, we found Oak Cottage, and from the moment we first visited, we knew this was where we wanted to be. Greeted by the grandest oak tree you have ever seen, we knew we could make this beautiful spot a place for people to come on holiday, relax and make memories.
