Facilities
Kitchen
Within our fully fitted shared kitchen, each Yurt has its own fridge with ice box alongside cupboards containing all the crockery and cutlery you will need for your stay, from wine glasses to children’s plates. Washing-up liquid, tea towels, cloths, salt, pepper and olive oil are all provided. From our superb kitchen, French doors open onto a covered, safari eating area; a great place for eating, socialising and relaxing.
Toilets and showers
Our immaculately clean and environmentally friendly toilets and showers are divided into boys and girls, with two toilets and one shower in each. Underfloor heating keeps them warm at chillier times and the showers are hot and powerful, just like you would find at home. Toilet rolls, hand soap, hand and hair driers are all provided within our facilities.
"The Retreat"
Our amazing, rustic outdoor bar provides a social area where you can enjoy a drink or ice cream from the honesty bar. This is where we cook our amazing handmade pizzas for you from our wood-fired oven. It is the best place to watch an incredible Suffolk sunset. Complimentary tea and bean to cup coffee are available at the retreat throughout your stay.
Play area
Our handcrafted natural playground is a hit with the kids! Parents can sit at the bar and relax as their children play happily. Under the canopy of our amazing oak tree, the rope swing is everyone’s favourite. You can also enjoy a game of table tennis, giant noughts & crosses or a mud pie from the mud kitchen!
Fire pit
Our much-loved communal firepit is surrounded by log seating and firewood is provided. The perfect place to get together and toast marshmallows under the stars. Bring your guitar for a singsong!
BBQ
Each Yurt has its own barbeque and tools, and all charcoal and lighters are provided. All you need to bring is something to cook!
Tennis
Just a walk across two fields is Bredfield Tennis Club with two hard tennis courts. These are free to use for all Suffolk Yurt Holiday guests. Rackets and balls are available in the Play Barn.
Honesty Shop & Information Area
Our Honesty Shop is the place to stock up on marshmallows for the campfire or local jam and honey for your breakfast. It also stocks a small selection of gifts. There is an ‘in case you forgot’ box – please help yourself to any essential items that you may have forgotten. Our Information Area is where you can find out about things to do nearby and further afield. We have a large collection of leaflets with information about local places of interest and there are also maps you can borrow showing walking and cycling routes.
Play barn
Our Play Barn is the perfect place to play on the not so nice days. Inside you will find an array of games, toys and books, as well as table football and a piano. We have a cinema screen with Netflix, Prime & Disney+ to watch your favourite movies. We also have crabbing lines, windbreaks, buckets and spades to borrow and take to the beach.
Bredfield village shop
Just a walk across two fields is Bredfield Village Community Shop which is open from 9.30am – 12.30pm Monday – Saturday. It is an amazing little community run shop where you can grab a coffee while the children play at the park. The shop sells lots of good local produce, including fresh vegetables and bread. It is even possible to cook a roast dinner from this shop; trust us we have done it!
